On behalf of the K.A. Deasy School PTA Executive Board, we extend a warm welcome to all families both old and new to what many see as their second home, Deasy School. The Executive Board has been planning throughout the summer to present a variety of events for the 2016-2017 school year.
The PTA supports faculty, staff, parents and most importantly our children through an array of educational, cultural arts, community outreach and fun-filled events. Some of these activities include After-School Clubs, Book Fairs, Parent University Night, Holiday Expo, Thanksgiving Food Drive, the PARP program (Parents As Reading Partners), School Picture Day, just to name a few.
We encourage all families to support the work of our PTA by purchasing a membership. We also invite parents to volunteer throughout the year. Volunteering for a PTA event is a great way to be involved in your child’s school and to get to know other Deasy school parents and teachers.
Our first event for Deasy students and their families is the Welcome Back Outdoor Movie Celebration scheduled for Friday, September 11th starting at 6:30pm. Join us for a snack and some fun by the Deasy playground!
The first PTA meeting of the year will be held on Open School Night in the All-Purpose Room at Deasy School on Thursday, September 24th at 6:30pm. You will have the opportunity to learn more about PTA and sign up for events for the upcoming year.
